Testimonials

"I used Andy Whitmore's Greystoke Studios to record my new 2011 album;

"5 Questions, The New Journey"

I found the studio roomy, comfortable, & the equipment is top of the range & up to date. Andy's knowledge of the equipment is extensive & he can program & engineer at incredible speeds, without ever cutting corners or making a compromise. When working out chords for new songs, Andy has a complete knowledge of chords & was able to arrange my songs so they sounded exactly as I wanted. His keyboard skills are excellent making his productions smooth & complete. Recording the album was a enjoyable & the album has come out absolutely stunning. I would recommend both Andy & his studio for both productions & keyboards."

"Alexander O'Neal"

American R&B singer

Credits include "Fake", "Criticize", "Saturday Love", "Never Knew Love Like This"

"Andy's professionalism is second to none. He always knows how to bring out the best in each song and invites the right well crafted musicians to add value to a song. He is creative with sounds, open to try out innovative effects and knows what needs to be done to create a top song. I like to produce my upcoming songs with Andy. You're the best! ;) "

"I have worked with Andy as co-composer on many TV advertising and sponsorship bumpers as well as Production Library Music projects. Andy has a fantastic studio including a great and unique collection of vintage keyboards (a real bonus to enhance your productions) and as producer will always ensure that he hits all your production deadlines. Added into the mix he is also a very competent pro session keyboard player as well"

Martin Price - Music Services Manager and co-composer

"We've worked with Andy for two years now, culminating in the singles DREAMS and STICKS....The studio and Andy's team are great; informal but professional. Andy has a wealth of experience to draw on and good contacts across management, production and mastering as well as a source of London based professional players. If you are looking for a studio I can thoroughly recommend Andy and his team!"

Reviews of Zeya

Now the debut single from Zeya, 'Dreams' was an absolute peach of a single, all shimmery and shiny and summery, and just absolutely lovely. That song made me think that Zeya was going to be the new singer / songwriter / hot chick on the block to look out for.

Now, I'm usually right about things but doubted she could come up with anything else quite so shimmery and shiny. So how happy am I to be proven wrong for the first time in several hundred years (long story). Because this is just as godd, if not better, than her debut offering. For sure, it's all a bit hippy and right on, but that's not unusual in her line of work. Normally I hunt around for live ammo when confronted with a hippy, but something this lovely manages even to permeate my cold, cold heart.

The first classic single of 2009 (even though I'm writing this in 2008, it's out on January 5th). So put your New Year resolution to good use, and buy this single.

Brilliance has a name and it's Zeya. With new single Sticks, Zeya delivers acoustic emotion with instantly classic pop-rock production.

She's a mix of Zoe and Sophie B Hawkins with overtones of Elkie Brooks and Jennifer Paige.

Stirring and evocative, Sticks will snap you out of the New Year blues before transporting you to the blissed-out woodsmoke-tinged evening air of late summer. Sticks is the sumptuous and hopefully Radio 2-friendly second single from stunning singer-songwriter Zeya.

'Sticks' is the latest single release from the enchanting songstress Zeya; acoustically driven and punctuated by zingy bass and enticing percussion, 'Sticks' is a pretty lively and very compelling work.

'Sticks' is pleasantly unfussy yet richly dynamic; Zeya's sweet sexy voice is delivered beautifully and is superbly proportioned against the catchy instrumental backdrop. 'Sticks' is 'mature' pop music for the more discerning ear; sitting in no particular genre camp it's wonderfully radio friendly, easily recognisable and pretty 'instant' - great 'pop' music to appeal to a large and varied audience.

Zeya delivers the goods with an eloquence and brightness that's further enhanced by the vibrant acoustic guitar and foot-tapping back-line. Zeya's whole musical ethos seems to be about offering up-lifting but realistic songs from the heart; a pleasant and very welcome change from some of the more inane offerings we are used to hearing from within 'chart' territory. Zeya gives pop music some direction and meaning and doesn't need to sell-out to everyday banality and fickle popular traits.

'Sticks' by Zeya is a damn fine piece of modern pop music that shows an educated 'touch' whilst still offering plenty of beefy hooks and a sizeable chunk of singalongability. 'Sticks' by Zeya, with its nu-folky edge and classic pop sensibilities, is a more than just plausible contender for pop-chart success - far better than most of its challengers for chart placement and every bit as good as the few that actually deserve to be there - a real worthy runner that deserves a chance!
