England, Zeyamusic was formed to concentrate on the song writing
of Crispin Thomas and the singing talents of Zeya Phillips.
Falling into the Pop/Rock genre the band consists of Zeya,
25, who has appeared in various television productions in the UK,
the latest being the BBC series Mistresses, and a collection of very experienced session musicians ( Mark Smallman, Nicky
Davis, Roger Calcutt and Andy Phillips) who have a huge depth of experience in recording and performing.
Zeya is now
working with the highly experienced producer Andy Whitmore of London
based Greystoke studios, who has produced Lemarr, Atomic Kitten and Kool and the Gang. Andy has just produced the latest album
by Alexander O Neal. The band has various other talents. Mark is a gifted painter, Roger a graphic designer and Crispin is
one of the leading lights of the UK mobile
industry. Andy just has amazing rhythm, and Nicky completes the line up with her keyboard skills!
Zeya
has appeared playing live on The Sandy Martin show on BBC Radio locally and has been back three times due to popular demand.
2008 has seen the recording of six commercial singles produced by Andy Whitmore and these are being used to showcase Zeya
Live Zeyamusic mixes its own songs with some covers ranging from Pink Floyd to Coldplay and the live set is varied
and dynamic. Influences come from all directions.
Zeya has appeared in various festivals, namely Geneva,
Marlborough and the North Wilts and the band regularly gigs
at locations in the West Country. Recently the band has returned from playing the FREERIDE festival in the French Alps, and
has been invited back to play next season. The band was voted one of the best newcomers at the 2007 Marlborough Festival,
which was a great success.
